VALENCIA HURACANES JOIN EURO XIII LINE UP

The AERL are very pleased to announce that Valencia Huracanes have been chosen to participate in the Euro XIII’s competition in 2021!

Chief Operating Officer of the AERL Tony Palacios said “On behalf of the AERL I want to express the great joy and excitement we are feeling that Valencia Huracanes have been chosen to compete in the new European league EURO XIIIs to be held in 2021. This announcement makes Spain one of the countries with the greatest impact in the European rugby league. We are also proud to know that the final of this great tournament will be held in the city of Valencia, further enhancing the image of Spain throughout Europe. For all the players and fans it is a dream to be able to enjoy this sport close-up and at such a high level. It is an added bonus for all the players of other Spanish teams who aspire to be able to play at a higher level. I also send a message of unity to all fans, to support all of our teams, since this will impact positively in all Spanish rugby league.”

The Euro XIII’s competition will focus on domestic player development and strengthening domestic leagues and increasing participation throughout Europe. 16 teams each representing a different European nation will compete. Valencia Huracanes will join teams from Ireland, Belgium, Hungary, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Turkey. The remaining teams will be announced over the course of the next couple of weeks.
